Spring Valley Businesses & Services

Why shop Spring Valley?  The city is home to many fine establishments that provide a wealth of goods and services to its residents. They offer friendly, knowledgeable support, comparative pricing, and convienent locations and parking.

However, shopping in Spring Valley does even more.  The city depends upon revenue generated from sales and motor fuel tax to provide services to its residents.  By shopping here, you are providing funds for road improvements, water and sewer maintenance, and fire and police protection for you and your families.

In addition, many businesses in Spring Valley have contributed money, goods, and services to our schools, local organizations, and community activities.  Without their support, we would not have many of the wonderful events and programs that are offered here each year.  We need to show our gratitude to these donors through our support of their business.

By shopping locally, we also send a message to potential business owners that Spring Valley is a good place to locate.  There are many opportunities available for new businesses to establish, but we need to show them that there are customers here making this a viable location.

Did You Know?

  • Studies have shown local businesses donate to causes at more than twice the rate of chains.
  • For every $100 spent at a local business, $68 stays in the community.  For every $100 spent at a national chain, $57 goes to corporate headquarters.
  • Local businesses carry a wider array of unique products because they buy for their own individual markets - the people in their community.
