Proceeds benefit the Spring Valley Education Foundation.

DAR Patriot Program

Linda Sigmon Byrd, Volunteer Field Genealogist and member of Princeton DAR chapter will conduct the workshop and welcomes women of all ages to attend. Come and learn more about NSDAR and what qualifies as a patriot. You will learn how to determine if you have an "approved" patriot and how to conduct your search. She will share search tips and wiill help you in your own search. The program is at the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library at 6:00 pm.

This program is free and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Little League Sign-Up
Saturday, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

$50 for the first child, $85 for two, and $100 for 3 or more.  This includes if parents have children in softball too.  For example; if one family has a child in baseball and one in softball, the cost would still only be $85.  Forms will be available at registration if people have not received the notice from their schools.

Lego Play is a NEW program for children ages 8-16 to create masterpieces with Legos. Legos will be provided by the library. Any child under 7 must be accompanied by an adult and will be given Duplo blocks to build with during the program, if they so desire. Please do not bring in any Legos to the program, respect the creativity of others, leave the legos at the library, and HAVE FUN. This free program will be held once a month. The Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library in Spring Valley will host juggler and stilt-walker Jason Kollum at 6:00 p.m. in the children’s library. 

The first part of the program Jason performs for the audience, but the last part of the show is where is gives the children a chance to learn how to juggle. Jason offers fantastic, free entertainment for adults and children of all ages.

The program is supported by a grant from the L-P Kiwanis.

11:00 a.m., and will take its normal route from St. Paul Street at St. Margaret's Patient Accounts, east to Greenwood Street, west on Erie Street, and finishing at the Little League Baseball Diamond.  The opening ceremony will be at noon.

The Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library in Spring Valley will have a free “Introduction to Smartphones” class to provide phone users the tools and hands on training about their smart phones.

J C Heerdt from IV Cellular will provide instructions to all participants no matter the brand or model of phone.

Noon – 2:00 pm.

Participants will learn the basic set-up of their phone, use of phone's digital camera, sending and receiving emails, text and picture messaging, sharing pictures, downloading apps from the app store, smartphone security, and introduction to the cloud. A question and answer session will take place after the presentation.

Parade Registrations

Annual Lighted Santa Parade! 

Open to entries of all kinds - walkers, vehicles & floats.  Individuals, families, friends,  businesses or organizations may enter.  

Get into the holiday spirit and register today.  The theme this year is Santa's Workshop, although all winter and holiday appropriate themes are accepted.
Keep in mind that it must be lighted - whether it's people walking/riding or the vehicle/float.  The more lights the more eye-catching and attractive.
Further details will be sent upon registration. Entries from other communities are welcome, too.

Theme is "Christmas Traditions " but all holiday and winter related designs are allowed.
